A BR-242 oficialmente \u00e9 denominada de Rodovia Milton Campos, importante rodovia que tem aproximadamente 2.300 quil\u00f4metros de extens\u00e3o. Ela percorre os Estados da Bahia, Mato Grosso e Tocantins. No Estado da Bahia, a BR-242 liga importantes cidades, como Itaberaba, Seabra, Len\u00e7\u00f3is, Ibotirama, Barreiras e Luiz Eduardo Magalh\u00e3es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A BR-242 \u00e9 considerada estrat\u00e9gica no transporte de produtos agr\u00edcolas, destacando-se como uma art\u00e9ria vital para o escoamento de soja, milho e algod\u00e3o. Argumenta Binho Galinha que, o intenso fluxo de caminh\u00f5es, carretas, carretas bitrem, \u00f4nibus, entre outros ve\u00edculos, por ser via \u00fanica, coloca em risco a vida de muitos cidad\u00e3os, a exemplo do triste acidente ocorrido no \u00faltimo dia 30 de mar\u00e7o, nas proximidades da localidade do Zuca, pr\u00f3ximo a cidade de Ruy Barbosa. Nessa trag\u00e9dia, onze pessoas da mesma fam\u00edlia morreram e outras 04 ficaram feridas. As v\u00edtimas estavam em uma Van que colidiu com uma carreta. Not\u00edcia nacional, esse triste acidente n\u00e3o \u00e9 \u00fanico. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cTemos visto de tempos em tempos pessoas que morreram v\u00edtimas de acidentes de ve\u00edculos na BR-242 e n\u00e3o podermos fazer nada\u201d,<\/em> justifica Binho Galinha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201c\u00c9 com esse intuito que estamos indicando ao ministro dos Transportes Renan Filho, a duplica\u00e7\u00e3o da BR-242.
